OC-Craft: Winning Two Trophies at the Davao Blog Awards 2025: A Dream I Never Thought Would Come True

Last November 29, 2025, I experienced one of the most unforgettable nights of my blogging journey. During the Davao Bloggers Society, GALA FOR A CAUSE: Where Glamour Meets Giving, I was honored to receive two trophies at the Davao Blog Awards 2025: The Best Special Interest Blog and the Best Breakthrough Blogger of the Year. It still feels surreal as I write this. This moment is a huge check on my bucket list. I’ve been nominated several times in this awarding body, and while those nominations already meant so much to me, I quietly kept hoping that maybe one day, my time would come. And it did.

My Blogging Journey: From Online Diary to Creative Space

I started blogging back in 2024. At that time, I wasn’t trying to be a professional writer. Honestly, I wasn’t even a good writer. I was just trying to be one. All I wanted was a space where I could freely share my thoughts, life events, the outfits I wore, the makeup products I used, and all the little kikay girls enjoy. My blog has become my online diary. It's raw, personal, and real. As time went by, I started discovering new things I loved. I shared my outfit-of-the-day, explored DIY arts and crafts, and slowly found my own creative voice. I wasn’t following a formula; I was simply sharing what made me happy. Then one day, I discovered a blogging community on Facebook, the Davao Bloggers Society.

Finding a Community That Changed Everything

Joining the Davao Bloggers Society opened my eyes to a whole new world. I became a member and started attending different events, from fashion shows and restaurant openings to product launches and community gatherings. More than the event, it was the people who made the difference. This community taught me so much along the way. I learned not just about blogging, but about confidence, creativity, collaboration, and growth. They helped me discover new interests, refine my content, and believe that my stories mattered. I’m still learning every day, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the group that nurtures and supports one another. To know that this same community saw my effort, creativity, and growth, and honored me for it, means more than words can express.

I want to sincerely thank the person who saw my efforts in blogging and nominated me. Thank you for believing in my work. To my fellow bloggers who voted for me and saw my worth, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This was such a beautiful surprise and a reminder that what we do truly matters to others.
