DIY Christmas Gift Wrapper Using Canva

I’m tired of store-bought gift wrappers that don’t feel personal enough. That is why this Christmas, I want to add a creative touch to my gift-giving by designing my own. In this blog, I’m going to share with you a tutorial on how to use Canva to create a personalized Christmas gift wrapper featuring the OC-Craft Shop Litol Dino character with a festive twist.

 

What You’ll Need:

1. Canva App (I’m using a free version)

2. Your own design (Litol Dino with a Santa hat is what I’m going to do)

3. A computer or mobile device

4. A printer

5. Legal-size bond paper

 

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Open Canva and Set the Dimensions

                - Open the Canva app or website and log in.

                - Click on the “Custom Size” button.

                - Set the dimensions to 8.5 x 14 inches (legal size bond paper).

 

2. Upload You Design

               - If you have your own design, you can upload it to Canva.

               - To upload, click on the “Uploads” tab, then drag and drop your file or select it from your device.

               - Since I already have an existing Litol Dino design, I just added a Santa hat to it.

 

3. Add You Festive Elements

                - Use Canva’s text tool to add a “Merry Christmas” greeting. Choose a festive font that complements your design.

                - Place the text near your design image for balance.

Duplicate the Design

                - Once you’re satisfied with the placement of your first design, select it and hit the “Duplicate” button.

                - Arrange the duplicates across the page, ensuring there is even spacing between them.

Keep duplicating and positioning until the entire legal-size paper is filled with your design.

 

 

4. Add Final Touches

                - Check for alignment and spacing. Use Canva’s gridlines to ensure everything is perfectly spaced.

                - Optional: Add a festive background color or pattern, such as snowflakes or candy canes.

 

5. Save and Print

                - Click the “Share" button and download your design as a PDF or PNG file.

                - Print it on a legal-size bond paper using your home printer. For vibrant colors, use high-quality printing settings.

 

6. Wrap Your Gifts!

 

                - Once printed, use your custom wrapper to wrap gifts. Add ribbons or tags for an extra festive touch.
