It’s the second week of the year and I’m still making plans
on how to achieve my goals. Aside from that I’m also thinking, what are the
possible fashion trends that I’m going to share with you this year. According
to bespreng YouTube, there will be lots of fashion trend for 2017 and one of it is the Off
Shoulders. It can be in a form of top or dress with raffles or in lace details. Actually it’s a trend last year and it will definitely still be on
trend this year.
OC-Craft #OOTD: Denim Pencil Skirt
Hey Lovelies, it’s been a while since I haven’t post #OOTD.
I’ve been chasing some errands for the past 3 months since I was moved here in
Gensan which I already shared with you at my previous post here. Since I live in a dormitory, I take this opportunity to create my own
mini studio because of the nice painted wall and I’m alone in the room. Yes I’m
alone… I like it and I want to experience it. It’s not what you think it is…
Let me share with you a little bit about my life…
When I was young I shared bedroom
with my siblings. Then when our house was renovated, I still shared bedroom but
with everybody. Yung tipong daanan ng lahat ng tao ang kwarto mo. Passage way
kung baga. Relate much ka din ba? Well… every girl wants to have her own room
where she can arrange, decorate and be naked. Hahahaha!!! Yes naked! Syempre you can’t do
that if you know that everybody passes by your room diba? So It’s been in my
wish list to have my own bedroom. Moving forward, yes dorm, yes alone and yes
mini studio. Sa sobrang mini ng room, sagad din yung distance ko from the
camera. Good thing I have a tripod which my ex-boyfriend gift way back 2-3 years
ago. Since I don’t have a good source of light and I don’t have a ring light
yet, my genius friend Nesy told me to buy an intelligent bulb which cost me for
only 150php. The light did not last for an hour so I did quick shots of my
outfit using camera timer. Yes, camera timer. I still don’t have a camera
remote which I will also include it to my wish list. Going to the outfit details, wearing semi crop top lightweight baby blue shade with lace details on top. I paired it with denim pencil
skirt which I bought it from a garage sale here in Gensan for only 50php. It's a lightweight fabric and it has seven pockets on it. I have denim skirts but most of them are mini. What I love about this skirt is the length of it which is appropriate outfit for tricycle and jeep commuters.

Last month, SM Woman shared a campaign “Dare to Denim” featuring
brands like Petrol, BNY, JAG, etc. With the help of Ms. Kimi Lu who is a life
coach at www.kimilu.com and Ms. Melania
Letroyes who is Season 6 Etcetera Host, they shared tips on how to wear denim
with different body types and styled Davao famous women with all ages, curves
and sizes.
If I will be challenge to wear denim fabric for seven days,
I would probably wear these sets.

Somebody ask me if I’m a swimmer, then I told her I’m not.
Why you ask? I said. She thought I am because of my broad shoulders. People
ask me this question every time I wore a sleeveless outfit. At first, I don’t know if it is a good
complement or if I will take it positively. I find women with broad shoulders
very masculine kasi. Then a guy asks me the same question again, so I told him
I’m not. I just have this wide shoulder that looks like a man. But I was surprised by his answer. No, it
looks sexy and sporty to me. PAK! Gusto ko yang hirit mo friend! (Insert blushed
face here). Sometimes we have a tendency to disown our own beauty. If there is something
that we don’t like about our body parts, the next option would be to have surgery
which is I’m guilty about it but I’m not against it at all. What I’m trying to
point here is we have to appreciate what we have. God gave it not to make you
look ugly but to make you feel beautiful inside and out. Look for your asset. You just have to
accept it whole heatedly and be contented about it. Hindi bale there are many
ways to enhance it naman. Just choose what to wear and enhance your asset.
About my outfit, I
wore a black off-shoulder to emphasis my broad shoulder and comfy printed leggings to shape my butt and legs during MindaNow event last Aug. 16, 2015, at SM City
Davao. I also bring my trusted tote bag to carry all my things and a black
sandal to match it up. I saw this snake print fold-over tab purse and bow clip
top purse by River Island that also looks good to pair with my outfit. River Island is available online at ZALORA Philippines.

August is my birthday month and
this year I turned 32 years old. They said I’m already out from the dates at
the calendar. #sadface But hey! There is
still lottery at 42 and bingo at 75. These are just numbers, right?! What matters most is how you spend and value
your life. At this age I would say I’ve been to a lot of trials from heart
breaks to empty pockets up to failures and these three experiences are my best
teachers. Thanks God I still survived! #blessed I know I will still have a lot
of bridges’ to cross especially this year that I will be facing the new chapter
of my life. Thanks to my family who’s always been there to guide me. For my
friends who continue to cherish their crazy moments with me and to my new
family who openly welcomes me. Maraming Salamat po! (Thank you very much!) #happykidhere
About my outfit, every year I always buy new cloths for my birthday but this time I choose not to wear red. I saw this romper short with sleeve and fell in love with its printed leaves design.
