Studs Short

Hi everybody! While I'm still constructing my new years's resolution for this year, I would like to share with you a little crafty side of me. It's almost 6 month since I share DYI project and I can't wait to share with you another DYI project! =) So here's my DYI project: Stud Shorts. Have fun!

Materials:

1 pack of stud (50 pcs. Diamond shape)
1 peso coin
1 denim short pants

How to do it?

1. Think of what design you want. It can be circular type, heart shape or box type. Since my studs is quite big, I decided to put it at behind pocket with inverted triangle design.

2. After finalizing the design, it's time to put the studs spikes into denim. Get your 1 peso coin and use it to push the studs spikes all the way down so it wont come back and poke you.

3. Just continue doing 2nd steps until all studs are place. If you still have studs left, you can add another design at the front pocket or at the side, like what I did here.

Tadaaaaaaaaah! There you have it! Your DYI Studs Shorts.

Tell me what do you think? I can't wait to see yours too!

Happy crafting!

-XOXO-

Nutrition Month

July is known to be Nutrition Month. In schools, they have activities wherein students become aware of the nutritional foods and preparing a balance diet foods consisting of fruits  and vegetables. Students also cook kakanin  like sapin-sapin, butchi-butchi, suman, casava, etc. They also have programs about valuing nutritional foods in our everyday lives. Maybe you are wondering right now why I'm blogging about this. Well, it's part of my post. My Sister made a fruitful/ veggie-licious crown for my lovely daughter's parade in school. I'm a frustrated artist (really?!) hehehe! I like to draw but drawings don't like me (boink!). Okay, okay, I tried but all I can do is drawing human sticks and simple shapes. To give you an idea, here's what my Sister made.

Thanks for the crown Sis! Great job! =)

2012 Theme: "Pagkain ng gulay ugaliin, araw-araw itong ihain!"  It focuses on encouraging Filipinos to increase consumption of vegetables to address micronutrient deficiencies and prevent non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes. http://www.nnc.gov.ph

Leather and Neon Bracelet

Hi everybody! Today is April 7 in the Philippines and I’m going to be crafty this Saturday. Since leather bracelet is kinda in this summer, I was thinking to make my own color combination. So without a further ado here’s my 1st DIY project to share with you.

Materials:
1pc         Red Leather Cord
1pc         Rusty Orange Leather Cord
1pc         Brown Braid Leather Cord
1pc         Yellow Braid Leather Cord
*I choose earth colors witch you can buy at Craft shop. They are also selling 1 meter per pack (sulit na!).
4pair      Metal Leather Connector
2pcs       Ring Connector
1pc         Locker
Scissors
Pliers (Long Nose)
*I user 2 pliers to hold the small piece

Steps:
1st           Measure 1 cord to your arm and cut (make sure it’s 2-3 inches lower form your wrist)
Grab all the cords and cut it using the 1st cord as your basis.
2nd          Pair 2 different cords (what I did was pairing Y: O / Y: B/ R: Y / R: B)
3rd           After pairing, get the 1 pair metal leather connector. Put the end of the leather inside theconnector whole and close it using the pliers (do the same thing at the other end).
4th         After connecting the metal leather connector to the leather cord, get the ring connector, hookall the cords and close it (do the same thing at the other end).
5th           After hooking all the cords form end to end, get the locker and connect it form the ring
connector.

Tadaaaah! There you have it! Your own Leather Bracelet.

Tell me what you think? I can’t wait to see yours too.
Enjoy your holiday!

Today is my 2nd post of DIY Project and I'm so excited to share it with you! Since Neon colors are catchy, I am going to share with you my Do-It-Yourself Neon Braid Bracelet. To start, here's what you need.

Materials:
1 pc. Neon Orange DMC thread
1 pc. Neon Blue-Green DMC thread
1 pc. Neon Pink DMC thread
3 pcs. Dragon Fly Pendant
3 pcs. Wish Pendant
8 pcs. Ring Connector
1 pc. Locker
Scissor
*All material are bought @ Craft Shop Gaisano Mall, Davao City

How to do it :

1st       Measure 1 thread to your arm and cut (make sure it’s 2-3 inches lower from your wrist)
Grab all the thread and cut it using the 1st thread as your basis (DMC thread length is 1 meter , so what I did, cut it into half.)
2nd      Tie 1st the 3 threads then you can now start braiding.
3rd       On your 3rd braid, insert 1 ring connector and 1 dragon fly pendant to the right.
Then another 2 braids, insert 1 ring connector and 1 wish pendant to the left
(Repeat the steps 3X).
4th      After the last braid, tie it up. Put 1 ring connector to both ends of the bracelet then
form a spiral shape. Before tightening it up, insert another 1 ring connector on both
sides then make it tight.
5th      Two ring connectors are now open. On the right side, insert locker on the ring connector
and lock it to the other connector.

Tadaaaaaaah! There you have it! Your own Neon Braid Bracelet.

Tell me what do you think? I can't wait to see yours too!

  3. I just came across your blog post and loved reading it! Your insights were really inspiring, and I couldn’t help but reach out. If I may ask, do you happen to have any DIY guides or tips for making roses or bouquets? I'd love to learn more and try my hand at it.
